Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP)
What is Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP)?
Scalp micropigmentation (SMP) is a non-invasive cosmetic procedure designed to replicate the appearance of hair follicles on the scalp, creating the illusion of a fuller head of hair. During an SMP treatment, specialized pigments are deposited into the scalp using micro-needles, creating tiny dots or "hair follicles" that mimic the natural pattern of hair growth.
SMP is often used to address a variety of hair loss concerns, including male and female pattern baldness, thinning hair, receding hairlines, and alopecia. It can also be used to camouflage scars from hair transplants or other scalp surgeries.
The procedure is highly customizable, allowing the technician to match the pigment color and density to the client's natural hair color and desired look. Multiple sessions may be required to achieve the desired density and coverage, and results typically last for several years before requiring touch-ups.
